What you need

honey

unsalted butter
corn kernel

gluten free all purpose flour

cornmeal

baking powder
salt

paprika

garlic powder

onion powder

sugar

buttermilk
egg
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400F. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg and buttermilk. Add in the sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Mix to combine. Then, add in the baking powder and cornmeal, and whisk to combine. Lastly, add in the flour and mix until well incorporated. If the mixture seems a little dry, add in 1 tbsp more of buttermilk at a time. Add the corn, if using, and fold to combine. Place the 1/4 cup of sugar into a shallow dish, if using. Scoop our the hush puppy batter (~2 tbsp), roll the dough between the palms of your hands to shape, and then roll in the sugar. Repeat with the remaining dough. Spray the basket of the air fryer with olive oil cooking spray, and place the hush puppies in a single layer on the bottom of the basket. Air fry at 400F for 4-5 minutes, flip, and air fryer for another 3-5 minutes until golden brown. While the hush puppies are in the air fryer, make the cinnamon honey butter. Beat together all of the ingredients in a medium bowl until combined. Remove the hush puppies from the air fryer and serve with the cinnamon honey butter. Enjoy!View original recipe
