BROWN BUTTER DATE OATMEAL COOKIES W/ DARK CHOCOLATE SUNFLOWER BUTTER CUPS

These aren't your ordinary oatmeal cookies. There’s a whole lot of flavor going on, from the nutty brown butter, chewy oats, and sweet dates, perfectly topped off with dark chocolate sunflower butter cup pieces.

What you need

tsp salt

cup medjool dates

sunflower butter
egg

tsp baking powder

tsp ground cinnamon

cup brown sugar

cup sugar

tsp baking soda

tsp vanilla extract

cup rolled oats

cup walnut

cup butter
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Add the brown butter, egg, sugar, and brown sugar to a bowl. Whisk to combine. Add the vanilla extract and cinnamon, whisk to combine. Add in the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and the salt. Stir to combine. Fold in the chopped walnuts and dates. Scoop the cookies onto the baking sheet (should make about 12). Top with chunks of dark chocolate sunflower butter cups by pressing them lightly into the dough on top.
