What you need

tbsp apple cider vinegar

salt

tbsp milk
egg

cup buttermilk

tsp salt

tbsp baking powder

cup granulated sugar

cup salted butter

cup all purpose flour
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Then, grate the cold butter into the dry ingredient mixture. Use a wooden spoon to mix until the butter is coated in flour and is evenly dispersed. Make a well in the center of the flour, and pour in half of the buttermilk. Stir until incorporated. Then add in the rest of the buttermilk and continue to mix until the dough comes together a little more (it will be crumbly). Lay the mixture onto a floured surface, and use your hands to knead and bring the dough together. Knead the dough with your hands and fold it over itself a 4-6 times (this is important to get the flaky layers), rotating and pressing/rolling down firmly in between each. It will be crumbly at first, but as you continue to fold/roll, the dough will come together more. Then roll the dough out into a 1 1/2” thick rectangle. Cut the dough into a 8 biscuits. Transfer the biscuits to the prepared baking sheet, and brush just the tops with the egg wash Bake at 375F for 35-40 minutes, rotating the pan half way through, until tall and a deep golden brown. While the biscuits are baking, make the honey butter. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and honey. Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately brush with the honey butter. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Serve warm. Enjoy!View original recipe
