What you need

tbsp powdered sugar
egg

tsp almond extract

tbsp low fat milk

cup gluten free all purpose flour

tbsp unsalted butter

cup nonfat greek yogurt

cup powdered sugar

tsp baking powder

tsp coarse sea salt

cup milk

cup maple syrup

tsp baking soda

tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat your waffle iron. To make the waffle batter, in a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, greek yogurt, milk, maple syrup, vanilla and almond extract. Then, whisk in the melted butter. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet and whisk until just incorporated (it’s okay if there are a few lumps). Sprinkle some Christmas sprinkles on top of the batter, but don’t mix to prevent them bleeding into the batter. You can alternatively wait to sprinkle them on top of each waffle right before cooking, after you pour the batter into the waffle iron. Spray the waffle iron with nonstick cooking spray. Add enough batter to fill each waffle section. Cook the waffles until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter. Make the glaze by whisking all of the ingredients together in a small bowl. Plate the waffles and top a dusting of powdered sugar, a drizzle of the glaze, and more sprinkles if desired. Enjoy!View original recipe
