What you need

cup granulated sugar

oz evaporated milk

cup butter

tbsp vanilla extract

tbsp cocoa powder

cup all purpose flour

cup buttermilk

cup semi sweet chocolate chips

cup chocolate chips

tsp salt

tsp baking soda
egg

cup hot fudge sauce
Instructions
Start by preparing the hot fudge sauce. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter and chocolate chips, stirring frequently. Once melted, slowly whisk in the milk until combined. Then, whisk in the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Cook for 5 mins, until the mixture comes to a boil. Then, reduce the heat and simmer for another 2-3 mins, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Allow to cool and transfer it to a heat-safe jar. Set aside. Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease and line a standard 9x5” loaf pan with parchment paper. Set aside. Brown the butter. Add the butter to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Allow to melt and slightly brown, while stirring continuously (~5-8 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly. Make batter. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate large bowl, whisk the slightly cooled brown butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs. Then whisk in the vanilla. Alternate between adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk in two increments. Stir until just combined. Gently fold in a 1/2 cup of the hot fudge sauce. Then, fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Bake at 350F for 50-60 mins, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool for 15 mins, then remove from the pan and cool on a wire cooling rack. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce. Enjoy!View original recipe
